Donations

The HSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which was created in 1981 to coordinate the Highland Gathering & Games, known locally as the Hawaiian Scottish Festival. The HSA provides Scottish educational and cultural activities through the annual Festival. The HSA encourages widespread participation within the Scottish community in Hawaii, from “off-island” Scots and from the general public.

Donations Since the HSA is a non-profit organization, your contribution to the HSA is tax-deductible! Corporate sponsorship is also welcome.

Entertainers

The Hawaiian Scottish Association is a non-profit organization with all of our funding through donations and public grants, and our grant funds were drastically reduced for this next year.  Our Festival is open to the public, free-of-charge (no entry fee), and therefore, we cannot collect admission to offset costs nor compensate entertainers, so we are unable to provide any travel offsets or stipends to help with visitors’ expenses.  However, we’d gladly schedule some stage time for your band at the Festival if you’d like to attend while visiting beautiful Waikiki for your holiday/vacation, and you may of course sell your band’s CDs, if any.

Volunteers Needed

Would you like to volunteer? Are you Scottish or Scots at heart? Are you interested in the Scottish culture? We need you!

We are planning next year's Scottish Festival on March 31 - April 1, 2012. We need people to help on committees such as Clans, Entertainment, Athletics, and Facilities. Please join us! For more information, please email Daniel J. Peddie, Chieftain, at scots@hawaii.rr.com or call (808) 626-3559.
